Amy is a trained journalist with more than 25 years’ communications experience across corporate and consumer disciplines in both public and private sectors.
She has represented a broad range of businesses and individuals in New Zealand and Europe from multi-nationals to iconic kiwi companies, not-for-profits, and entrepreneurs.
As a seasoned communicator and media strategist, Amy can quickly distil complex information, determine the newsworthy drivers, and identify and mitigate risks.
One of the best ways to engage with a journalist is to have been one, and Amy is skilled at pre-empting media questions and providing considered responses which deliver the right message in an engaging and impactful way.
She is both an experienced interviewer and interviewee, fronting and facilitating campaigns for her clients across television, radio, print and online media; most recently representing New Zealand hoteliers during the outset of COVID-19.
Amy thrives on helping business find their most meaningful purpose, believing that as well as achieving a healthy bottom line, businesses have a role to play in social wellbeing, environmental sustainability, and New Zealand’s economic performance.
When Amy isn’t working, she can be found tramping, skiing, running, or nestled in a sunny spot reading a delightful book.
"I collaborate with Wright Communications because of its authentic values and focus on sustainability and social purpose. The depth and breadth of my colleagues’ experience, along with a joke or two, makes it a pleasure to arrive in the office each day." Amy Robens
