Immediate start from 11 January for a senior marketing communications practitioner.

This is a non-client facing role with support being provided to the Group Account Director and Managing Director.  Key client outputs include but are not limited to:

  • Development of communications strategies
  • Development of tactical communications calendars and plans
  • Stakeholder liaison, management and planning
  • Writing a range of materials such as: scripts for speeches, social media messaging, media collateral (releases, fact sheets, backgrounders, Q&A's)
  • Proactive media sell-ins across a range of consumer and business channels
  • Event management planning and event delivery
  • Project management
  • Internal reporting to agency team

The successful candidate must be available for up to 25 hours per week working in our central Auckland consultancy.

This role would suit someone who is an experienced communications operator and has the following skills:

  • Is an exceptional storyteller
  • Has good contacts in the media
  • Is a creative thinker with strong strategy and planning skills.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have a tertiary qualification in a relevant area such as communications or journalism, or equivalent experience
  • Proven agency experience over many years
  • The ability to write effectively for external audiences
