Sacred Hill 2014 HALO Chardonnay is heaven on earth

By Wright Communications

Taking advantage of small parcels of exceptional quality fruit from the best vineyards, the HALO Hawke's Bay Chardonnay genuinely reflects the characteristics of the region well known for its stone-fruit flavours.

Sacred Hill Senior Winemaker and Chardonnay fanatic Tony Bish says the extended dry periods and hot summer made for ideal conditions.

"The Chardonnay looks amazing - pristine and tightly sprung - a great reflection of the 2014 vintage conditions which lead to an early harvest of outstanding quality."

The fruit is grown on an iconic vineyard on a slightly elevated and cooler inland site high above the Tutaekuri River.

"The crop levels were moderate and the fruit intensity was high and possibly higher than our 2013 vintage. Without a doubt, this is another exceptional Chardonnay vintage," he says.

The 2014 Chardonnay is true to the HALO tradition of delivering wines with depth and texture, thanks to its barrel fermentation in French oak puncheons and aging on lees for 12 months.

This richly textured fruit forward vintage delivers a sublime experience to make any occasion extra special.
