Managing Director David Mason says Pinot Gris is naturally approachable and very palatable - a perfect example of Sacred Hill's desire to make wines with sheer delicious drinkability.

Senior Winemaker Tony Bish says as Pinot Gris is a vibrantly aromatic grape variety and the 2015 wine reflects that.
"Pinot Gris should be very expressive on the nose and have a powerful, textured palate. We believe this is one of the most powerful Pinot Gris we have made."
Marlborough had another classic cool climate growing session in 2015, with record temperatures in the second half of summer producing ideal ripening conditions and fruit with great intensity.
The grapes were harvested in the cool of the night to preserve aromatic intensity and carefully handled through to bottling.
Sacred Hill Orange Label Marlborough Pinot Gris 2015 - Enticing aromas of baked pear strudel and spices with notes of fresh ginger and peach. The palate is softly textured and well balanced with lingering flavours of pears and baking spices.
Food match: Japanese chicken fried rice with green peas, carrots, chicken stock, garlic, soy sauce and freshly ground black pepper.
