"The Lexus IS has been a consistent favourite in New Zealand amongst drivers who are young at heart," says Spencer Morris, Lexus New Zealand's General Manager of Product.

"The changes introduced in 2017 align with the signature L-finesse design philosophy and adopt the latest innovative technology for great driving enjoyment."

Staying true to the character that is quintessential to the IS, changes to the exterior can be seen in the evolution of the spindle grille, larger air intakes and a visually lower centre of gravity. New headlamps extending inward to accentuate the L-shaped Daytime Running Lights also heighten the desire for driver's to put their hands on steering wheel.

The 2017 Lexus IS, expected to arrive in New Zealand early next year, comes equipped with the full Lexus Safety System +, combining Pre-Crash Safety System, Lane Departure Alert with Sway Warning System, Automatic High Beam and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control.

In the cabin, the central multimedia display screen has grown from 7 to 10.3 inches and an enter button has been added to the side of the Remote Touch Interface on the centre console, making the system easier to use. Attention to detail sees new interior colour options, refined meters and stitching enhance the sporty feel of the IS cockpit.

The 2017 Lexus IS will continue with an unchanged lineup including the IS 200t, IS 300h and IS 350 will full specification and pricing available at the time of launch.
