The 2013 Reserve Chardonnay builds on Gunn Estate's long held reputation for producing classic New Zealand varietals and ensuring the wines are approachable and unpretentious.

Vintage conditions meant the single batch fruit for the Reserve Chardonnay was harvested in perfect condition from prestigious Hawke's Bay vineyards. In the winery a gentle pressing was followed by fermentation in a mix of stainless steel and French oak prior to a full malo-lactic fermentation.

The result is a full bodied, creamy and generous chardonnay that more than lives up to the Gunn Estate Reserve range's reputation for delivering quality, varietal fruit expression and complexity.

The wine is deliciously drinkable now and is expected to get even better with 2 - 5 years cellaring in cool conditions.

Tasting Note: Aromas of summer stone fruits with creamy flavours supported by smoky, spicy oak. Full bodied, creamy and generous.
