The wine, released this month, builds on Gunn Estate's record of crafting trusted and respected wines.

The weather gods smiled kindly on Marlborough this year with a cool spring and early summer followed by a warm, dry autumn, creating perfect conditions to produce intensely flavoured wines.

After cold de-juicing to maximise the fruit expression, the juice was fermented using a selection of yeasts that enhance the vibrant characters. A careful, light touch was a priority during the winemaking process to ensure the intense, complex fruit characters have been captured in the bottle.

Tasting Note: Lifted tropical aromas mingle with fresh cut herbs and lemon zest. The nose is layered and complex. The palate opens with a sweet citrus entry, leading to a generous medley of tropical fruits. The finish is infused and lingering with lovely minerality and freshness.

Food match: Thai fish cakes with fresh coriander, a squeeze of fresh lime juice and a few sprinkles of finely diced bird's eye chilli.
