Toyota New Zealand has announced the launch of its GAZOO Racing (GR) Parts lineup, offering Kiwi drivers a new level of performance and personalisation. Inspired by the rigorous process of developing and refining cars in the world of motorsport, this collection of genuine tuning parts helps owners unlock their vehicle's true potential and create a car that is uniquely their own.

Debuting at the GR Festival in Hampton Downs over the weekend, GR Parts is an extension to the overall GR brand. They are designed for drivers who want sharper turn in, better balance and more grip where it matters.

These performance parts have been developed in the same way GR cars are, Andrew Davis, Chief Strategic Officer, says. Built through real-world motorsport experience, under pressure, and in situations where everything gets tested to the limit. Andrew understands owners of GR vehicles are usually track car enthusiasts and always looking to get more out of their cars.

“GAZOO Racing resonates with people because it brings motorsport DNA into everyday life. Bringing GR Genuine Parts to the New Zealand market is a huge milestone for the brand. It means drivers can now get genuine factory‑developed performance upgrades, and for us it represents the next steps in growing the GAZOO Racing community here in Aotearoa.

Race fans got a first look at the new GR Genuine Parts range at Hampton Downs on Saturday 28 March, with over 20 pieces on display. Attendees also had the opportunity to see the first-generation Toyota GR Yaris Aero Performance package fitted with the new GR Genuine parts, including a GR software update - giving potential buyers inspiration for their own builds.

“GR Genuine Parts have been developed to provide the kind of change drivers notice straight away” Andrew says. "Whether on the open road or out on track, now owners are able to choose what suits them and their driving style.”

Toyota’s Chairman, Akio Toyoda, also known as Master Driver “Morizo”, believes that the extreme conditions of racing provide the ultimate training ground. Andrew explains that this belief has fed directly back into the development of the GR Parts brand.

Toyota Stores around the country will support owners wanting to upgrade their cars, with trained teams who understand what these parts are designed to do and how to get the best out of them.
