Sir Peter Blake Trust engaged Wright Communications to deliver full service PR aimed at raising awareness of its various leadership and environment focused programmes, and celebrate key Trust milestones. Taking media exposure to an unprecedented level was a key goal towards increasing the Trust’s public profile.
The Wright approach
A comprehensive overall communications strategy was developed and is regularly reviewed to achieve the Trust's overall objectives. Each year, PR plans are developed to help achieve objectives for each specific Trust programme.
Wright Communications has helped the Trust develop valuable media partnerships, which will in the long term contribute to even better media coverage of its programmes at a regional and national level.
Wright Communications has achieved extensive media coverage of some of the Trust's key programmes including the Leadership Awards, Leadership Week and Red Socks Day over the last few years and the 10th anniversary and tribute to Sir Peter Blake's legacy in December 2011.
Recent media highlights include this year's Leadership Awards, which featured on TVNZ's Tonight, World TV, Management magazine, Sunday Star-Times and Newstalk ZB.
Leadership Week gained great regional and national media coverage for this year's 'Dare to Dream' initiative, where 200 New Zealand leaders each visited a Kiwi classroom to inspire young New Zealanders nationwide to 'dare to dream'. A story on the Governor-General's school visit ran on TVNZ One News and in The New Zealand Herald. TVNZ's Breakfast also covered an art installation in Auckland's Britomart as part of Red Socks Day, the last day of Leadership Week.
Extensive regional media coverage was achieved for the announcement of the 30 students going on the expedition of a lifetime to the Kermadec Islands, a new initiative for the Trust.
Wright Communications contributed to the development of two important publications for the Trust Sir Peter Blake - the Legacy, a special publication produced for the 10th anniversary of Sir Peter Blake's death; and the annual report.
The CEO of Sir Peter Blake Trust, Shelley Campbell, is grateful for the guidance, expertise and support Wright Communications provides.
