Wright Communications has developed ESG/sustainability/corporate responsibility (CR) reports for 12 years using both global gold standard frameworks: the Global Reporting Initiative (G4 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines) and Integrated Reporting <IR>.
Voluntary reports have been prepared for a range of clients spanning private limited liability companies, listed entities, a Crown Research Institute, and multi-national organisations with a New Zealand operation. We also produced NZX’s latest Annual Report which for the first time contained sustainability information, referencing G4.
CSR strategy development

Restructures, Closures and Change Management
Our team of senior doers have supported a number of organisations to close or restructure. From helping Refining New Zealand to close down while maintaining staff, Government, departments, local councils, iwi, residents and media in supportive roles, to helping a care home close its residential facilities alongside staff, residents and their families, our team is experienced in a wide range of situations. Most recently, we have helped a large infrastructure company to restructure, and supported a services organisation to close its entire business. We work with empathy and best practice foremost.
Government relations
We help our clients with their Government Relations needs, alongside our partner Iron Duke. Most recently, we have helped a large industry organisation achieve meetings and move the dial with ministers and departments, and helped a large pro bono client, a services organisation, to set up their MP stakeholder relations programme. Our team consists of senior doers with press secretary, political editor, broadcast and Government Relations experience in New Zealand and Australia.

We have extensive communications experience at a senior level in the local government sector, both with councils themselves as well as council-controlled organisations.
