Power dressing never looked so feminine

By Wright Communications

The three piece suits (pant, jacket and skirt) are made from luxurious Dormeuil and Holland and Sherry fabric creating a stylish and unique suit.

Andrea and her team have been perfecting the range over the last 10 years to fit women properly.

"One of the jackets was inspired by a 1940's jacket found in an op shop. It has these amazing folds over the hips that make the waist look small. Everything is proportioned."

Andrea believes in business meetings you can often let your clothes do the talking.  "By the time you present in a room the suit has achieved a lot before you open your mouth," she says.

"There have been companies around for a long time using amazing wool fibre to create a luxurious suit. We are making these more available to women - why should men be the best dressed in a corporate environment?

"Dormeuil use a specialty fibre called Kyrgyz White which comes from the celestial mountains from Kyrgyzstan in central Asia. It is used in some of the fabrics on offer.  It comes from a winter goat hair and its belly is combed for this precious fibre which gives a silk like finish to the wool."

Each Andrea Moore suit is made by a Croatian lady based in Henderson, west Auckland, whose family has been in tailoring for generations. Personalisation is the ultimate in luxury glamour making every wearer a VIP and so it is that Andrea will stitch the owner's name into the care badge of the suit.

The Andrea Moore 'Suit Yourself' range is available at the Old Bank Arcade store on Lambton Quay in Wellington and the brand new High Street store in Auckland's CBD.
